Now part of People Services Directorate, Children’s Services run from two main sites – Civic Centre and Alexandra Avenue Health and Social Care Centre (Special Needs).
Other premises include two Children’s Centre Hubs at Hillview and Cedars, with eight delivery sites, Youth Stop and Community access sites such as Youth Projects. Harrow School Improvement Partnership is based at Whitmore High School.
The majority of roles are based in the Civic Centre on Station Road, Harrow. It is a modern building, accessible for wheelchair users. There are staff restaurant facilities on site. Bicycle and car parking is available, including car bays for people with disabilities.
Sept 2015 announcement: A new civic headquarters will be built in central Wealdstone, still less than 5 minutes walk from Harrow and Wealdstone rail/tube station. The move is planned for 2019.
